7-Day Fast

Last week on January 24th 2025 I completed a 7 day water fast.


I lost 11lbs of weight.


This was one of the most unique and fascinating experiences I've had in my life.


This was a challenge to myself as a reminder of my fitness and training limits I used to push in my 20s.


I'm in the latter portion of my 30s now and writing a memoir of the impact and role that tennis has played in my life. In my progress, I'm at the part where I began to train for Tennis on the entry-level Pro Circuit. I remember the struggles, perseverance, and absolute limits I learned to push my body through and thought..... "I used to push the limits on what was possible for me back then. Why not now?"


Within a couple days of making that realization, I decided to do a 7 day fast.


Parameters were set, intent was made.

No food.

No caloric intake.


My body using it's instinctual skills to get me through 7 days of no caloric input. My body completed it.


With a lot of family support, determination, and steadfastness, the challenge was accomplished.


I am currently drafting up the whole experience and will share it once I'm able to put all of it to word.


IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO TRY SOMETHING DAUNTING, CHALLENGING OR DIFFICULT.


WE ARE MEANT TO STRIVE, STRUGGLE, AND EXCEL.


IT IS OUR NATURE.
