Snacks for During a Tennis match/competition


















During a tennis match we should concentrate on consuming snacks that:

  1. Are easy to digest

  2. Can be eaten swiftly (since changeovers last 90 seconds)

  3. Have an appealing taste and texture.



Examples:

  1. Nuts

  2. Slices of fruit (cold would be best)

  3. Dates or Figs

  4. Energy chews or bars

  5. Easy to digest fats in small quantities



Here is what I would bring to a tennis match:

  1. 1-2 Dates

  2. Small amount of Cashews

  3. Energy Gummies (Honey Stinger)

  4. Homemade Fats bar (Chocolate, cocoa butter, coconut flakes, and pecans)



I might not eat all of the mentioned items unless I felt it was necessary. Your body has a strong sense of what it requires and desires when it's missing a particular nutrient. It will communicate this to you through cravings or appetite.
